In certain circumstances, we can offer telehealth video consults to provide an effective, efficient and safe alternative to face-to-face visits

Quality is good enough to manage most skin conditions

Costs (and medicare rebates) are the same as for face-to-face consultations

Telehealth Procedure

We use the Zoom videoconferencing application for all telehealth consultations

Passwords and Waiting Room features ensure your complete privacy during the consultation

Ensure you have installed and opened the Zoom Cloud Meetings app (download here for your smartphone, tablet, or computer)

If you need help with installation, refer to Zoom's online support guides

We will SMS (or, upon request, email) the Zoom link to you on the morning of your appointment

Do not copy this link directly into Zoom as it will not work

When it's time for your appointment, tap or click on the link in the message we sent you; it will open a page in your Web browser, which will launch Zoom and enter the password automatically

After your consultation is complete, we will call you to finalise the consult

We will make any follow-up appointments

We will lodge your Medicare claim and email you the receipt

Pathology forms will be emailed to you

Scripts will be faxed directly to your nominated chemist
